Film Centre Botnia is an association shared by three counties, which aims to promote the film culture of the region. The Film Centre organises film events, seminars and is part of several film festivals in the region, as well as engages in film culture recording and research activities and media education.
Film Centre Botnia ry (Filmcentrum Botnia rf) is bilingual and also serves the Swedish-speaking population. In this case, the Film Centre cooperates with Finlandssvenskt Filmcentrum rf. The role of the Film Centre varies from the organiser itself to the coordinator and advisory party or supporting the project in other ways.
